Gary Warnimont replied:

Thank you Eric.I still can remember scouting for dad to stop the car because I saw a dinosaur. The old road route 66 came much closer to these guys than the present road I-40.

Thomas, Thank you. The Museum of the Americas and the huge concrete dinosaur park has closed up shop after 50 years. The dinosaurs were moved to the Hopi Truck stop,Grey's rock shop and around Holbrook. Many great Route 66 attractions have disappeared or have been vandalized in the last few years. I encourage everyone out there shooting to take time to document the cool stuff you encounter. Our photos may be all the tis left someday soon.

About Gary Warnimont

Gary Warnimont

Hi my name is Gary Warnimont. I can't remember when I wasn't fascinated by photographs. I remember getting to use my dad's Polaroid Land 1 Camera . Grew up went to college, studied photography and art. Went to work as a catalog photographer. Still am a location advertising photographer. Asleep yet? I am posting my personal work on this site. It is about fun and boy hood vacation adventures. The documentation and restoration of roadside advertising folk art and museum artifacts is an on going project of mine. Hope you enjoy!!!
