The cross is a Historic Route 66 attraction in Groom, TX and is "190 feet tall, 110 feet wide, and visible up to 20 miles away. At 19 stories tall it is one of the largest crosses in the world."It was built by Steve Thomas of Pampa, Texas in 1995.
